My own works have no pre-conceived end product. The work develops in
relation to the tensions that arise as marks are introduced onto the blank
surface - a concern with balance, harmony, intervals, spaces and tones.

Formerly Director and Keeper of Fine Art at Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum.
I have worked as teacher, tutor, lecturer & examiner. I have also curated
a number of exhibitions, catalogued and advised on art collections, and have
done television work for 'Artsworld'
venture.

I am currently leading a variety of art appreciation groups and classes -
including taking groups to public art galleries and exhibition. In
addition, I give illustrated single talks to a wide variety of organisations
